Solutions
Consulting and digital transformation
Assessment of the IT operation, an evolution plan, process digitisation, infrastructure optimisation and support for technical decisions.
What we do
Consulting here means understanding the operation before proposing change. Many technology problems in a company are not solved by buying a tool: they are solved by changing a process, an order of priority or a line of responsibility.
The outcome is an honest assessment of what exists and a plan of what changes, in what order, at what effort and on what each step depends. Including when the conclusion is that the current system should stay as it is.
Areas of work
Technical assessment
Survey of the systems, the infrastructure, the costs and the real bottlenecks of the operation.
Evolution plan
A sequence of changes prioritised by impact and dependency, not by fashion.
Process digitisation
Replacing spreadsheets and manual steps with a flow the team can actually run and maintain.
Infrastructure optimisation
Review of sizing, cloud cost and what is being paid for without being used.
Questions consulting usually answers
- Should the current system be kept, rewritten or replaced?
- What is driving the cloud bill that keeps climbing?
- Which processes are worth automating first, and which are not worth it at all?
- Does the current architecture support the growth expected over the next few years?
- Where are the single points of dependency on one person, and how can they be reduced?
- What needs to change before the company hires more people for the area?
How we run the work
-
Interviews and survey
Conversations with the people who operate and the people who decide, and a reading of the technical environment as it stands.
-
Analysis
Identifying bottlenecks, risks and whatever generates cost or rework.
-
Plan
Prioritised recommendations, with estimated effort and explicit dependencies.
-
Follow-through
Support during execution, when contracted, reviewing what actually changed.
About results
We do not publish percentages of saving, productivity or expected return. Those numbers depend on each company's starting point, and an average taken from another context says nothing about yours.\n\nWhat we deliver is the assessment, the plan and the estimated effort. The real gain is measured in the client's environment, after the change, with whichever indicators make sense for that business.
Shall we talk about what you need?
Describe the scenario and we come back with the possible options, what needs assessing and how the work could be run.
